Light Transcended

January 2018, Brooklyn Cluster Gallery

Exploring the Language of Light

From the melancholy of a flickering beam to the warmth of sun against our skin, light can be inviting or harsh, chilling or inspiring. It is a language we all speak, and has the power to invoke intense emotions as it gives shape to the world.  Using our respective mediums, we set out to to add permanence to these fleeting and arresting moments.

The Collaboration

A birthday dinner, followed by months of correspondence, and finally, an opportunity.  Our collaboration began not with a huge roar of ambition, but a quiet whisper of intent, first rooted in respect and trust inherited from mutual friends. Overtime, the narrative changed from general support to one in which we started seeing the through lines of our work. Once the path revealed itself, this journey began.

The Exhibition

Light Transcended will make it's debut at the Cluster Gallery in Brooklyn, NY in January 2018, with an opening reception on January 11th. The Brooklyn Art Cluster is an art organization committed to building creative environments for curators and artists alike, with a focus on supporting collaborations between artists and curators to share inspirations and expand networks for the development of their works and career.
